StaccShare makes sharing effortless — every time you share a file or collection, StaccShare generates a unique, secure link that you can send to anyone. Recipients simply click the link and view your content directly in their browser, no account or sign-up required.

Share a file

1

Open the Share dialog

From your library, hover over the file and click the Share button. Alternatively, open the file and click Share in the header.
2

Set a custom title

In the Share dialog, enter a custom title for the share. This is optional — if you leave it blank, the share defaults to the file name.
3

Choose a link expiry

Select how long the link should remain active: No expiry, 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days.
4

Set permissions

Choose what the recipient can do with the file: View only or View + Download.
5

Create the share link

Click Create share link to generate the URL.
6

Copy and send the link

Click the copy icon next to the URL to copy it to your clipboard, then send it to your recipient.
Recipients see a clean share page displaying the file title and a preview — images, PDFs, and videos all render inline. If you enabled View + Download, a download button also appears on their page.

Share a collection

Sharing a collection works exactly the same way as sharing a single file. From Collections, hover over the collection card and click Share. Recipients who open the link see all files in the collection bundled together on a single share page, making it easy to deliver a complete set of assets in one click.

Updating a share

You can change the permissions or expiry on a share link at any time after creating it:
  1. Open the Share dialog for the file or collection.
  2. Click Edit share.
  3. Update the expiry, permissions, or title as needed.
  4. Click Save.
The link URL stays the same — changes take effect immediately, so any recipient who opens the link after you save will see the updated settings.

Stopping a share

To stop a share and deactivate the link:
  1. Open the Share dialog for the file or collection.
  2. Click Stop sharing.
  3. Confirm in the dialog that appears.
Once confirmed, the link stops working immediately — anyone who clicks it will see a “Link not found” page.
Stopping a share cannot be undone. If you need to share the file again later, StaccShare will generate a brand-new link — the old URL will not be reactivated.
To see and manage all your active share links in one place, head to the Shares dashboard.
