# StaccShare Core Concepts: Staccs, Items, and Your Bio Link

Before diving into specific features, it helps to understand the core building blocks you will encounter throughout StaccShare. This page defines each concept and explains how they fit together to help you share what you use with your audience.

## Staccs

A **Stacc** is the foundation of everything in StaccShare. Each Stacc represents a single piece of content you have created, whether that is an Instagram post, TikTok video, YouTube tutorial, or blog article. Think of a Stacc as a dedicated page where you organize everything featured in that content.

From a Stacc, you can:

* Add items (products, places, tools) that appear in the content
* Organize items into categories for easy browsing
* Link directly to the original post so followers can connect the Stacc to your content

Every Stacc you create is accessible through your bio link, giving followers a single destination to find everything you share.

## Items

An **item** is anything you want to share within a Stacc. This could be a product you are wearing, a tool you are using, a place you visited, or a service you recommend.

Each item can include:

| Field        | Description                                                                |
| ------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Name**     | The product or item name (for example, "Sony A7IV Camera")                 |
| **Link**     | A URL where followers can purchase or learn more                           |
| **Image**    | A photo to help followers recognize the item                               |
| **Category** | An optional label to group similar items together                          |
| **Price**    | The item price, if applicable                                              |
| **Notes**    | Extra details such as size, color, discount codes, or why you recommend it |

Items are the core of what your followers are looking for. The more detail you provide, the easier it is for them to find and get what you have.

## Categories

A **category** is a way to group related items within a single Stacc. Instead of presenting a long list of items, categories let followers jump directly to what they are interested in.

Categories are ideal for:

* Separating outfit pieces from accessories in a fashion post
* Grouping skincare products separately from makeup in a tutorial
* Organizing gear, software, and accessories in a desk setup video
* Distinguishing hotels from restaurants in a travel vlog

You define your own category names, and you can reuse them across multiple Staccs to keep your organization consistent.

## Bio Link

Your **bio link** is a single, permanent URL that you add to your social media profiles. When followers tap it, they land on your StaccShare page and see all of your published Staccs in one place.

## Public Profile

Your **public profile** is your personalized StaccShare page, hosted at your unique URL (for example, `yourname.staccshare.com` or a custom domain). This is where your bio link points and where followers browse your Staccs.

StaccShare goes deeper: each Stacc is a dedicated page for a specific piece of content, containing all the items your followers are asking about. ## Affiliate Links

An **affiliate link** is a special URL that tracks when someone makes a purchase through your recommendation. When you add affiliate links to your items, you can earn a commission each time a follower buys something you shared.

StaccShare supports affiliate links from any network or retailer. Simply paste your affiliate URL into the link field when adding an item, and StaccShare handles the rest.
