# Share Files and Deliverables with Clients Professionally

> A step-by-step guide to sharing project deliverables, design files, and documents with clients using StaccShare — clean, branded, and professional.

StaccShare makes it easy to deliver files to clients in a clean, professional way. Recipients get a branded share page with preview and download — no app to install, no account to create. This guide walks you through the recommended workflow for client delivery and how to get the most out of StaccShare's sharing features.

## Recommended workflow for client delivery

<Steps>
  <Step title="Upload your deliverable files to StaccShare">
    Drag and drop your files into the StaccShare library, or use the **Upload** button in the top right corner.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a collection named after the project">
    Click **New collection** and give it a clear, client-facing name — for example, "Acme Corp — Final Designs".
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add all deliverables to the collection">
    Open the collection and add your uploaded files. You can drag files in from your library or select them with the file picker.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Share the collection">
    Open the collection and click **Share**. In the Share dialog:

    * Set the expiry to **30 days**
    * Set the permission to **View + Download**
    * Click **Create share link**
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy the link and send it to your client">
    Copy the generated link and send it to your client via email or your preferred messaging tool.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the Shares dashboard">
    Go to **Shares** in the left sidebar to see when your client views or downloads the link — no need to chase a confirmation email.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Add a short custom title like "Your Acme Corp deliverables — July 2025" in the Share dialog so the share page title is immediately meaningful to your client when they open the link.
</Tip>

## Best practices

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Bundle files into collections" icon="folder">
    Use collections for multi-file deliverables so your client gets everything in one link — no need to send multiple URLs.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Set a sensible expiry" icon="clock">
    A 30-day expiry gives clients enough time to download, but avoids leaving links open indefinitely after a project closes.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Use passwords for sensitive files" icon="lock">
    On Pro and Team plans, enable password protection in the Share dialog for sensitive documents. Always share the password in a separate message from the link itself.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Confirm delivery before closing" icon="circle-check">
    Check the view and download stats in the Shares dashboard to confirm your client has received the files before you mark a project as complete.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## Resending after expiry

If a share link expires and your client needs access again, you don't need to start from scratch:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Shares dashboard">
    Go to **Shares** in the left sidebar and find the expired link.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Reshare">
    Click the **⋮** menu next to the link and select **Reshare**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set a new expiry">
    Choose a new expiry date and click **Create share link**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the new link to your client">
    Copy the new link and send it to your client — the old link will not be reactivated.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What clients see

When your client opens a StaccShare link, they see a clean, focused page — no account prompts, no distractions. The share page includes:

* The share title you set (or the collection name if no custom title was added)
* A list of all files in the collection with inline previews where supported
* Download buttons for each file (if **View + Download** permission is enabled)
* A StaccShare branding footer

<Note>
  On Pro and Team plans, you can replace the StaccShare branding with your own logo. Go to **Settings → Branding → Share page logo** to upload it.
</Note>
